The App Store is filled with many developers working on fitness apps, including some big names like the SkyHealth, the maker of the top-ranked paid health app on iTunes FitnessBuddy.

Azumio, on the other hand, is a relatively young developer at the fitness apps space, which has seen 20 million downloads of its popular biofeedback apps Instant Heart Rate.

Now, Azumio has acquired SkyHealth, with SkyHealth founder and CEO Tom Xu joining Azumio as a partner and head of product development, along with the start-up’s three main developers.

After the acquisition, Azumio has doubled its product portfolio, adding 15 SkyHealth apps, and not to mention the significant increase in customer base and resources.

The 13-member Azumio team is planning to launch a fitness dashboard to give a comprehensive health report for users by taking readings for each of their applications. With the acquisition, Azumio’s apps now span heart, stress and sleep monitoring to fitness and glucose tracking.
