Path Social Network Makes Waves Globally
Many of you may have noticed Path recently, and may even think that it works great as a personal network. Okay, so Path is getting attention. Actually, it’s getting a lot of attention.

In case you haven’t heard of Path yet, it’s a mobile based social network that lets users add a private journal, photos and videos, and the music you are listening to. The main thing is that it is not Facebook, where you have hundreds of friends, but talk regularly to a very small section of it. Path lets you add only 150 to your list.
Path was founded by ex-Facebook executive Dave Morin and Shawn Fanning of Napster. Morin, who is the CEO, calls a Path ‘a personal network’. “We effectively have designed a new, more modern, mobile-only social network,” he says.
Yuri Milner and Richard Branson have also invested in Path, which raised over $30 million in funding in Spring. This social network is getting popular day by day; Sky News Australia reported that Path is getting a lot of attention nowadays.
Path plans to adapt for international markets, and is already making waves in China, where Facebook is blocked.
Do you use Path? Is this a better way to stay connected with friends and family than Facebook? Do let us know.
