Lenovo ThinkPad to Get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update This Spring
Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet owners cheer up. You will get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update by Spring.
Users can upgrade their tablets with the Android 4.0 update pack that will be released in the second quarter of 2012.
The ThinkPad Tablet was introduced back in the second half of 2011 with Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. By the upgrading of the Android OS, Lenovo seems to be aiming to make their tablets ‘future proof’. The new update bundle with many new features will turn the slates in to advanced device.
The Android 4.0 update build would bring a new and improved browser that promises significant speed enhancement for the users. This browser will permit the users to skip to their favorite content quickly and can save it for reading later while offline.
Users can use the Voice input feature that enters the words corresponding to the dictated text. Along with entering the text, the voice input engine underlines the probable dictation errors in grey color, which can be rectified by replacing them from a list of word suggestions quickly.
The Face Unlock feature in the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS can be utilized by the tablet’s front-facing camera. As you know, this new feature gives the users a new screen-lock option that allows them to unlock the device with their face. The art facial recognition technology feeds a face during the setup and recognizes it again for unlocking the device.
