Asus Transformer Prime Slate Might Finally Arrive on Dec 19th; Gamestop Inventory Says So
Asus appears to be very uncertain about the release of their Transformer Prime tablet. Don’t you also think so? We were anticipating to see the device ever since Asus had revealed their first Tegra 3 quad-core tablet back in October. From then on, the device was continuously in news with different release dates. The latest is that this 10.1 inch tablet will arrive on December 19th.
After its official launch on November 9th, Asus tablet was scheduled to release on November 28th, which was eventually held back for a December 9th release.
If the new date spotted on Gamestop’s computer inventory system is to be believed, the device will be ready for a December 19th release. As the pre-orders for the device has already begun in many stores, the wavering dates had left the Asus fans in disappointment. There is also a rumor that ASUS is planning an event for early December.
In case you forgot the specs here they are. The device will run Android 3.2 OS and will sport a 10.1-inch Super IPS touchscreen plated by Gorilla Glass.
On the hardware side, it has a 1.4 GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, optional 32/64GB internal storage and dual cameras: an 8-megaipxel rear snapper with 1080p HD video recording option and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
This slim slate of 8.3 mm thickness will be available in two colors: Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold. Price tags of $499 and $599 will be attached to the 32 and 64GB versions respectively. Now, look forward to December 19th.
