Samsung Solar-powered NC215S Netbook in the US, Russia and Africa on July 3rd
While the world is heating up with environmental issues, Samsung, in a bid to do its bit for the environment, is bringing out a solar powered netbook. The company will roll out the device in the US as well as Russia and Africa on July 3rd.

The eco-friendly device is furnished with a solar panel and can run for an hour after being charged by two hours of sunlight. Samsung claims 14 hours of usage from a fully charged battery.
Though we think the claim to be a little overrated, the netbook does seem to pack enough power for comfortable day-to-day usage. There’s nothing special in the Samsung NC215S’s design other than the solar cells that have been build into the lid.

According to the announcement made by Samsung, they will be releasing 10.1 inch models in the US market. The NC215S netbooks, running on 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core processor, will feature 1024×600 pixel matte display with 1GB RAM.
The devices should be available for $399 in the US and around $479 in Russia. All you eco-friendly tech-savvy guys, its now rime to wait to get your netbooks and enjoy the summer heat powering your gadgets.
