Sammy is all busy unveiling new products at CES. The latest among the new products is the second generation of their Series 9 Windows 7 laptops.  The Korean giant has made the second generation Series 9 laptops slimmer than the original ones. They have introduced two notebooks in the Samsung Series 9 line up: a 13.3-inch and 15-inch models.

The 13.3-inch model of only 12.9 mm in thickness will be the thinnest laptop in the world. The device weighing 2.5 pounds is enclosed in a100% aluminum body coming with matte finishing.

The laptop will be coming in mineral ash black for theUS, whereas in other countries it will be in silver. It offers a battery back up of 7 hours.

The 15-inch model comes with the same features as of the 13.3-inch sibling. But, they differ in size, weight and battery back up. The 15-inch variant comes with 0.6-inch thickness and weighs 3.28 pounds. It is supported by a battery that offers 10 hours of battery life.

The two Series 9 laptops come with 128/256GB SSD storage, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, a mini LAN port with a LAN dongle adapter, mini VGA port, HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The devices are equipped with options for Intel’s i5 or i7 Core processors and the screens offer a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. They promise a boot time of 9.8 seconds and a fast wake up time.

The 13.3-inch model is priced at $1,399.99, whereas the 15-inch variant comes at $1,499.99. Both the second generation Samsung Series 9 laptops are scheduled to be released on February 27^th .
