Smartphones can do pretty much anything, can’t they? Yet, you own a desktop and a laptop. So a Chinese company thinks you can have all in one device: its xpPhone 2, a smartphone that runs Windows OS.
The xpPhone 2 can help you work on the go, as well as on your desk, with the option to plug in a mouse, monitor, keyboard, and power adapter.
The upcoming xpPhone 2 features a streamlined user interface that uses less power when you are using the device as a phone.
The device boasts 18 hours of continuous talktime, but that does not seem to be the case when Windows starts up and you use it for things other than making calls.
The device features a 4.3 inch display and processing in the xpPhone 2 is provided by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, and comes along 2GB of RAM, 112GB of storage. It can run Windows 7 or Windows 8 on this one.
A smartphone running a desktop operating system may not be a great idea. But if the Windows 8 turns out to be touchscreen friendly, it might have the possibility of working wonders.
