Pantech’s Vega S5 is Thinner than Galaxy S3
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is known for its thin bezel and slight frame. It is small enough for a handset with 4.8-inch display. But it seems that S3 is not the smallest big smartphone anymore.

A new smartphone, named Pantech Vega S5, is set to arrive in the market, with a bigger screen and a body thinner than the S3. Its IPS LCD display measures 5 inches and has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. It’s so thin that there’s practically no buffer on either side. The phone achieved such a figure after going through a process called Zero Bezel to be forced into a body smaller than the S3.
The 6.89mm thickness of the smartphone is not the only highlight. Pantech Vega S5 has a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor under the hood along with a 2100mAh battery giving up to 11 hours of talktime. It also features a 13 megapixel camera.
Pantech Vega S5 will be available only on the SK Telecom network in South Korea and it seems the company has no plans to go for a worlwide release. It’s real pity. This real smart phone would have given S3 a run for its money.
