More LG Optimus Smartphones to Get Android 4.0 Update
So the Optimus 2X will not be the only smartphone from LG waiting for the Ice Cream Sandwich update. As promised, LG is bringing the OS update to other Optimus devices as well; the LG Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE.
LG confirmed in a Facebook post that the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS will be initially available for the Optimus 2X, the Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE, all high-end devices announced last year.
LG added that it is continuing to evaluate the ICS operating system to determine whether it is compatible with the functionality, features and performance of other LG smartphones to make the ICS operating system available on as many LG smartphones as possible.
There is no word on when the roll out will start; LG says we will have to wait till December for more details. We promise to pass on the info to you guys.
We expect more LG devices queuing up for the Ice Cream Sandwich update.
