HTC One X one of the most attractive devices we saw at the MWC, is expected on June 10th. In the midst of all that expectations, we now hear that a HTC device codenamed Jet carrying the same specifications of the One X has been spotted on Sprint’s list of new devices.
It is believed that the HTC Jet is the Sprint version of One X. After Samsung Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper, Jet is now speculated as the third LTE device from Sprint. The most striking resemblance between the two HTC handsets is that the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset featuring NFC capability, which was only used in the One X.
It is rumored that the Jet sports a 4.7-inch S-LCD 1280 x 720 resolution screen with protective Gorilla Glass 2. Under the hood, the smartphone carries a 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait processor, 1GB RAM and NFC antenna. Other notable features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, CDMA1X, EV-DO Rev 0/A/B and LTE connectivity and solid polycarbonate body.
Meanwhile, various other names such as HTC One EVO and HTC EVO X 4G are also being touted for the HTC Jet. It is also interesting that the HTC EVO 4G, the carrier’s first 4G WiMAX device was launched on the same date, two years ago. Stay tuned to know more about the Sprint’s HTC Jet.
