A beautiful design encompassing almost all the features you would expect from a HTC phone is here in the form of the new HTC One S. Delivered by T-Mobile, sales will be starting by the coming spring. Interestingly, the manufacturers don’t even have the slightest fear of this device being overthrown by any other competitor as they are sure about the strong features of this phone.
By limiting the overall thickness to 7.95 mm, HTC have done a terrific job with the One S. This phone features an aluminium unibody made possible through a multi-arc oxidation process. Its significance is that this process will make the device four times harder than regular aluminium.
Powered by the new 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core SoC and a 1GB of RAM, the One S is pretty powerful and of course super fast. With a 4.3 inch qHD SuperAMOLED (960X540) display featuring a pixel density of 256 ppi, this phone gives out the most dazzling vibrant display among its class.
Integrated with Beats audio, the sound quality is significantly outstanding. This smartphone also comes with a 4.0 HTC Sense UI with Google Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich (ICS).
The HTC One S device is equipped with a standard Li-Po 1650 mAh battery that gives you excellent backup while you watch movies and play HD games. An 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash with simultaneously capable of recording 1080p video is quite a nice add-on to the feature list.
Image recording is done at 30 FPS and 1.3 MP front facing camera is there for video calling too.
The only relevant disadvantage of this phone is the non-expandable memory option. But the 16GB internal memory will surely be enough for most of us. The device is expected to cost about $549.
