Asus U46SV-DH51 Notebook with Core i5 Available for Pre-Order
Asus’s line of notebooks gets a new member with the introduction of the new U46SV-DH51. The device looks thin, but it’s not an Ultrabook, and the name’s a mouthful, but guess we might hear it differently on shelves.
When you open the covers, you would find Intel’s craftsmanship lying in the form of a full-voltage 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor, coupled with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU. Quite impressive, especially with 4GB RAM and a 640GB hard drive, not to mention a DVD burner, all encased in a chassis measuring 1.08 inches at the thickest point.
There’s a 14-inch screen with a resolution at 1366×768 set on an offset hinge and closed in with a black bezel. The notebook packs an eight-cell battery that gives up to 10 hours of run time and the whole gadget weighs around 4.85 pounds.
The other features include ports and slots like the HDMI and VGA, 2xUSB 2.0 and 1xUSB 3.0, Gigabit LAN and a 3-in-1 media card reader. A 0.3MP webcam is incorporated into the device and it also supports WiFi and Bluetooth connections.
The ASUS U46SV-DH51 is priced at $880 and is available for pre-order at Excaliber PC. The device is expected to start shipping on October 1st.
