XBMC Media App May Land on Ouya Console
Do you remember the Android-based set top box and games console start-up called Ouya? When we last featured it, it had just launched its fundraising round on Kickstarter. We are happy to find out that Ouya has concluded the fundraising and has garnered around $8.6 million, with over 63,416 donors backing the project.

In July, Ouya broke Kickstarter records by securing over $2 million in funding on its first day, exceeding its goal of raising $950,000.We have now come across a report which says that negotiations between Ouya and XBMC are still on and that Ouya wants the XBMC app as its default media centre application.
Sources have confirmed that XBMC will be moving over to Ouya. XBMC has said that it will make sure that XBMC works well on the Ouya platform. Ouya has already secured OnLive, VEVO, iHeartRadio and XBMC as content providers for its device.
The device is expected to sell for $99 and will feature a Tegra 3 quad-core chip, 1 gigabyte of RAM, 8 gigabytes of flash storage, HDMI video output, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity.
