Watch Saturn in High Definition with the Cassini HD
There are so many astronomy apps for the iPad and so you needn’t be bothered about a particular app. But when there is an option to see the most beautiful planet, Saturn, in HD, we guess you would think again.

Yes, there is an app that specializes in Saturn and all its satellites. Called the Cassini HD from Thinx Media Interactive, this app is absolutely special and it offers a set of spectacular views on the iPad.
The images are organized into categories that begin with the planet itself. Then comes the images of its moons, its rings, and finally by false-color pictures.Users can go through the photos one at a time, swipe after swipe, or jump to two navigation systems: either a drop-down menu, or a gallery linked to a diagram of Saturn and its moons.
The main shortcoming is that the users can’t zoom in on details of the photos on the app. For a closer look at Titan or Enceladus, they will have to look at NASA’s biggest versions of their images on their web site.
Each section of Cassini HD starts with the description in a paragraph, or a few. Each photo comes with a one sentence caption, which you can expand into a longer version.Cassini HD will set you back just $1.99. So the app seems pretty reasonably priced. There are about 840 photos and this is enough to awake the scientific curiosity in any young mind.
