Are you looking for a Twitter client? Then Tweet Lanefor Android is one app you might want to check out.

First things first, the app is in beta and it looks good. With a good mix of blue and white, it fits well in with the Holo theme found in stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some standard features such as remembering your position in the feed, having multiple account support, and having media previews in your timeline.

Then there’s the VolScrolling which allows you to scroll up and down with the volume keys, and a new concept called the Context Tweet Box which stays at the bottom of your screen and changes its function depending on whether you are in your timeline or a friend’s profile.

But the Tweet Lanelacks notifications and direct messages, meaning you must have another Twitter app installed for those features.

The App works nice and smooth, it’s speedy most of the times, and whatever the app lacks, we are sure it will be fixed by the time the app comes out of beta.

Tweet Lanes app is available for free at the Google Play Store. Of course, when the app comes out of beta, it will have more paid premium features.
