The Democratic Party Launches ‘Obama for America’ Campaign App
The digital campaign for the U.S Presidential election is in full swing and the Democratic Party has released a new mobile app called Obama for America.

Obama for America brings together election information, grassroots organizational tools, campaign news and more. There’s an Events and Actions section where the Events tab lets you find and RSVP for nearby volunteer and campaign events, and the Actions tab lets you register yourself to vote, help register other voters, become a volunteer in a local team, and even canvass your neighborhood.
The Canvass section lets you load a list of households to visit in your current location, displayed in list or map format. You get info on voters, campaign script, and you can also enter people’s responses directly into the app in real time, and then send it back to VoteBuilder, a voter database tool used by the Democratic National Committee.
The Featured tab shows you recent stories or videos that the Obama campaign wants to highlight, while the Info tab gives more general election information. There’s also a Local Impact section where you can see quick facts on how Obama has affected your specific state.
It’s a social. You can share everything from featured stories to event information via Twitter, Facebook, text or email.
You can get Obama for America from iTunes. The Android version will arrive soon.
