How does the idea of installing a free Mac OS X app that adds that nostalgic typewriter sound to your modern Apple device, appeal to you? This free piece of software, named Noisy Typer, plays typewriter sounds as you type.

This open source software that is developed by Theo Watson of Free Art and Technology (F.A.T.) Lab is going to make you forget the usual boring sound of the wireless keyboard.

Just as you hit the letter keys, spacebar, backspace, carriage return and scroll up and down buttons, the app makes the nostalgic typewriter sounds and it works with all applications like email, web, word and what not!

The NoisyTyper app can be downloaded here http://theo.tw/noisy/NoisyTyperProject.zip.  Once the unzipped folder is opened go on to read the file called “_ReadMe_Seriously.rtfd”. Make sure you read the instruction properly and follow the directions for installing it on your Max OS X.
