It looks like Apple has stopped supporting the editing application Avid Studio. Users who opened Avid Studio on their iPad got a pop-up message that said that the app would not get any more support.  Pinnacle Studio, another editing app, which is owned by Corel is being offered for download in place of Avid Studio.

These changes are believed to be a result of Corel buying the consumer line of Avid editing tools. Pinnacle Studio is totally free of cost, while Avid Studio used to cost around $4.99.

The new Pinnacle app and the Avid app and are both very powerful, and include a lot of features that are not present in Apple’s iMovie for iOS.

The Pinnacle app lets users make projects that contain video, audio and photos and everything that needs to be edited is placed into the editing timeline.

The app also supports around 16 transitions, creation of title, and also composition of video. Files that are edited can be shared on public domain by means of YouTube, Facebook, Box, Apple TV and many more.

Projects can also be exported in 1080 pixels to Pinnacle Studio which runs on a PC and, moreover, media can be imported by connecting the iPad Camera Connection Kit.
