All those games that you couldn’t watch on television are now coming onto smartphones. WatchESPN is settling down to be a free app for iPhone, iPad and even some Android devices.

The app will provide with live streaming of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN U, as well as live streaming of Monday Night FootBall (MNF). Now that’s really something to get excited about.

The only downfall with this slick app is that a cable subscription is needed to make the most use of WatchESPN. Some options for users having high-speed internet is available, but then you will be limited to ESPN 3 only.

What makes it score over the Time Warner Cable app is that you don’t need to be home to use it. You can use it wherever you are without any special fees, hardware or complicated processes and commercial-free (you get a commercial break with some sweet music).

Now if you are going for the full access, then these cable operators should be able to help you: Bright House Networks, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS TV. The limited access, where you get ESPN 3, is participated by: AT&T High Speed Only, AT&T Uverse, CenturyLink, DirectTV, Dish Network and Verizon Internet Only.

So head over to iTunes Store and Android Market to download WatchESPN and enjoy some sports time.

There is such a huge premium that comes with the app, but it is still pretty cool that you can stream football games. I use the DISH Remote Access app on my iPad and I love it. Like the DirecTV normal remote app, I can program my DVR and change the channel as if my iPad were a remote. However, the DISH Remote Access app excels by letting me stream live TV or recorded shows from my DVR to my iPad or iPhone anywhere I am! Whether it be the Sunday game or one of my favorite shows, I can watch it anywhere. I am a customer and employee of DISH Network, and I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for a long time and I think everyone can enjoy it!
