Sky Releases an Updated iOS App

An updated version of the iOS app which will turn the iPad into a touch screen remote control is now being distributed by the British Satellite Broadcaster Sky.The news about this app hitting markets this summer was released last month and Sky has kept its promise. The updated app is now available to Sky TV users with Sky+HD boxes that let them to pause and rewind content by swiping the screens of their iPad.

What is really exciting about this app is that is lets the users of Sky use the iPad as a remote control and view their TV schedule, record, edit and delete recordings. All this can be done without interrupting the program they are watching on their TV.

Sky has not yet brought the app update to Apple’s smartphone. Sources have confirmed that very soon the users of iPhone and iPod will receive the update.Google fans are quite miffed to know that Sky+ for Android has not received any update, and the firm has not mentioning any future release.

Officials from Sky have said that later this summer they will be incorporating Zeebox second screen functionality into the app . This is going to help customer of Sky log online and check out the reaction to their favorite show through the app by getting Twitter feeds.
