GasBuddy users update the gas prices at different places themselves. You can get the app to search for gas based on different criteria and report the prices when you find them to be outdated.

You can get GasBuddy to filter prices by regular, midgrade, premium, or diesel, find the gas station closest to your current location or search by zip code. You can even know if a gas station has a car wash, air hose, ATM, restroom, or a convenience store.

It even helps you win free gas. Every time you report gas prices, you earn points which you can trade each week for tickets in a prize give-away that could score you a $250 gas card.

You thought this was cool? Well, the website has more features than the mobile app. Also, the interface is not the best one out there. But still, it manages to do its job.
