You know your vacation is not awesome until your friends envy it. Now there’s a cool new way to let your friends know that you are having a good time. The folks at Ripe Bytes have introduced an iPhone app called Photo Mapo, which can take your photo, put it on an attractive map and let you send it to your friends and family.

Most vacation photos taken with an iPhone are automatically geotagged when the user takes a photo. The app takes advantage of this to do its job.

The app pulls the GPS data from the shot and finds the location on a map. The app lets you take a new photo or use an existing image from your camera roll.

You can customize the style and the zoom level of the map, add a description and then combine them both with your photo. You have six predefined styles to choose from, including Pirate, Postcard & Retro.

The next time you pack your bags and head out for a vacation, make sure your iPhone has Mapo app inside.
