J-Lo On Board to Promote Finger Break Dance App
It’s time to hit the dance floor. But this time, it will be your fingers doing the dance not your feet, that too on an iPad. We are talking about a new Hollywood-backed app called Dance Pad where you fingers do the break dance version of the famous Dance Dance Revolution. And the app is being promoted by none other than J-Lo.

Publisher Moonshark is bringing out the app with which Hollywood is hoping to make it big in the mobile app space. Dance Pad will include 30 different bands and artists, including The Bangerz, retro soul singer Mayer Hawthorne, throw-back rock band Vintage Trouble and DJ-singer Blaqstarr.
The DancePad app is free, and comes with 20 levels of game play. But you can buy another 80 levels for $2.99.
Moonshark CEO Matt Kozlov sees Dance Pad as an app that can garner the same kind of cult following that DDR has inspired. DDR fans run tournaments and hold exhibitions of their skill on the arcade machine.
Moonshark is hoping that it will be able to create a community where people dress up their hands, and film themselves dancing and post it on YouTube and Facebook. App users who participate would be able to win a meeting with some of the artists featured on the app. Jennifer Lopez is not in that list yet, but the company is still working on including her songs in the future.
Of course, Dance Pad is not the only app to sweep you off your feet. Moonshark is working with John Woo, director of “Face/Off” and “Mission: Impossible 2″ to create an action adventure game. Another one is with YouTube star Philip DeFranco to create a charming photo app.
In other Moonshark projects there will be comedians, comic book creators, and directors and all kinds of stars.
