HTML5 is overhyped, but Intel has no option but to back it, says Intel top official
Intel Developers Forum is still progressing with new updates from the world of developers. So we bring them here hot. In a latest appearance at the IDF 2012, Intel Senior VP of Software Services Renée James said that HTML 5 is an overhyped technology which is very slow and insecure. However, there is no future without it, thinks the chip maker company so that they are working over HTML 5 to improve it.

Despite its issues like insecurity, HTML 5, in her opinion, is the best cross platform available now to make transparent computing possible. Though the technology has been overhyped several times, it actually allows the user experience to go beyond the limits set by architecture and operating systems, said she.
Due to its ubiquity, developers are favouring the platform very much. According to the Intel official, 40 percent of developers use HTML5 today while 40 percent is planning to use it. Intel has helped the platform to build GPU acceleration for 2D and 3D graphics into the web browsers.
Co-President of McAfee, the security firm acquired by Intel, has also addressed the gathering about the security initiatives. Demoing a Facebook app which can decide who could download photos in Facebook albums, the Intel officials told that the app is like a condom for your digital life.
According to James, the company is planning to make a specific program on HTML5 which will help developers to write apps across multiple platform environments. However, she has also made it clear that the programme will not surface before the fourth quarter of this year.
