We all love HeyWire’s free SMS service. Now, the guys at HeyWire have come up with something entirely new, a “content messenger”. The app can combine various streams from popular social networks and bring it to your smartphone in an interest-focused group.

The content channel is called BNDWGN and the topic can be anything you choose. You can pull your favorite content from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram to build your own BNDWGNs. You can also invite friends to “jump on” to receive information and chat. Users can also join popular BNDWGNs created by other members of the community.

Private conversation is the added advantage of using BNDWGN. Users can only message Facebook friends running the app, but content stays private unless explicitly shared to Facebook.

As new content arrives in the BNDWGNs you are notified via push messaging. You can choose how often you receive notification – every hour, once a day or never. Also, you can get the app to notify you when friends are chatting, so that you can join in.

The idea was born from HeyWire’s social communication utility. Samples of BNDWGNs already developed by initial beta users include: Justin Bieber, Kardashians, Anti-Bullying, Boston Sports, The Big Bang Theory, Team U.S.A. (Olympics), and Indecision 2012 (Political Satire).

Now that an idea this good is born, guys at HeyWire are planning to commercialize it. The company is now reaching out to major media brands, music, celebrities, and other companies with a large number of social media fan followers in order to create partnerships that would allow the brands to create their own official BNDWGN streams.

Are you ready to jump onto the BNDWGN? Head over to Google Play. Don’t worry, the iOS app is on its way.
