KDDI Mind-Reading App En Route for Android Devices
We have got watches that measure our steps or counts the laps we run. Now we have apps that tell us how stressed we are.
The folks at KDDI are the ones to thank for this brainwave. They put on their thinking caps and came out holding an app and a hardware combination for Android phones.
Here’s how it works. The user has to wear some sort of headband. The headband is said to monitor the brain’s activity. Then the user has to play a game, which the person is given in their Android device.
The game is simple and resembles whack-a-mole, but instead of moles popping out of holes, we have Android robots popping out of thin air. The user has to complete the game and as he or she plays it, the headband will monitor the brain’s activity.
The measured brain activity is then displayed in some fancy charts which the user can analyze to find out whether he or she is more stressed out today than last week. A slick piece of development, don’t you think?
The app is not yet commercialized as it is still on the table of KDDI’s R&D team. They did release a demo video though. Check the video and see how it works.
