Google Voice Action Android Service Lands in Europe [Video]
Bonjour Android. Android users across Europe will now get the power of voice control over their smartphones. The Voice Actions service that Google had introduced in the US last year has made their way into Europe.
The Voice Actions app will now be available in France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Great Britain and also will support French, British English, German, Spanish and Italian to its languages. This service allows users, with a series of spoken commands, to control their Android phone or tablet with their voice.
Users can search and browse the web, send text messages and emails, navigate the map and place calls by directly speaking to their device. To do that, all you need to do is press the microphone button on the home screen of Google’s search field and open the Voice Search app.
The other way is to simply activate the “Speak Now” field by pressing the physical search button on your handset. All Android devices running Android 2.2 or higher are able to support this service.
If you do not have the app, then go ahead and download it from the Android Market. If you already have it, then chatter away in the language of your choice.
