Google Removes Fake Siri App; No Deception Anymore
Google has removed the fake Siri application developed by ‘Official App’ that sneaked into their Android market. The fake app was fooling people around the world, disguising itself as the original Siri App and meant for Android devices.

People around the world were forced to believe that the app that has been available was the original Siri, and many have been downloading it on their Android devices. Previously, Google removed an application named Pinterest, which had misguided a lot of people.
Now, if Android owners do a search on Google for Siri, a lot of suggestions might load. But, when you specifically search for “Siri for Androids” there appears no results. Pinterest has previously been removed from the search too. However, the application in question was not a paid one.
The Siri App was unveiled on December 28th. By that time, thousands of people have been using the fake app on their device. Google hasn’t released any notification on the removal of the fake Siri application. Also it is not clear whether there would be any legal proceedings.
As we get further developments on this topic we will bring them to you.
