Everybody knows code junkies love GitHub. Those who were disappointed not to find the app at the Google Play store can rejoice now. Yes people, GitHub has released its social coding app for Android.

The app is built using Open Source projects such as ActionBarSherlock, Android-ViewPageIndicator, Maven and SyntaxHighlighter.
The GitHub app is high on the staying connected. It has a dashboard that provides easy access to all your created, watched, and assigned issues meaning you don’t miss out on discussion and progress. You can also view and bookmark any repository’s issue list with configurable filters for labels, milestones and assignees.
Then there’s an integrated news feed so you can keep track of what’s going on with all your organizations, friends and repositories. You can also discover, share and discuss code snippets using the integrated GitHub Gists support.
Since it’s built using Open Source projects, the source code for the app is available. You can download the app from Google Play. Won’t cost you a penny.
