SlingPlayer App Lets You Stream TV Directly to Your Honeycomb Tablet
Sling Media’s latest app, teased back in September, is finally here. The SlingPlayer Android app is for tablets running Android Honeycomb platform, and it helps you stream TV directly to your app. The app also features a new program guide, which is designed for users to find content while watching TV, and change channels with ease.

The SlingPlayer app for Android handsets, meanwhile, will continue to function on tablets in compatibility mode without exacting extra charges. But it will not offer the same resolution quality as on a Honeycomb tablet.
When connected to a Slingbox SOLO or PRO-HD, the SlingPlayer software makes it easy to watch your home TV on your Android tablet running Android version 3.0 or later. Slingbox owners with Android tablets can change channels, control their DVRs and watch their favorite shows anywhere they have an Internet connection, the company said.
The SlingPlayer app is waiting for you at the Android Market for $30.
