The PS3 has a large collection of video apps, but they always needed a YouTube app to express themselves. The teaming up of Sony with Google has brought out a new YouTube app for the PlayStation 3. This will allow Sony PS3 players to have an enhanced video experience.

Earlier, many users accessed videos on their mobile phone or tablet using a YouTube app that is included within the device. The new app has a large screen friendly layout with controls that are compatible with PS3′s controller.

You’ll be able to log in using your YouTube account and then access your subscriptions, watch list, recommendations, uploads and more. The app includes better search options that give you suggestions when you type along with Google Search.

You can easily use your phone as a remote control by quickly pairing it and hence you can control YouTube on PS3 with a smartphone. If you happen to find a video on your phone and by pressing a button it will play on the big screen. While the video is playing, you can also control it from the phone, or keep browsing YouTube for the next one.

The YouTube app can be downloaded for free from the PlayStation Store and is released inNorth America. Other countries will receive the update in the months to come.
