ComiXology is a digital comics platform with over 75 million comic downloads to date. It offers a selection of more than 25,000 comic books and graphic novels across various platforms like the iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and the Web.  Comixology currently tops the charts in the most number of downloads in the App Store for comics on the iPad.

There are quite a few people who do not prefer buying digital comic books, but Cimixology has a large number of customers. They offer the best prices for all of the latest comics that are released.

ComiXology is trying out new stuff by sending out “a call for creator info”. This is a 26 week program starting at the Baltimore Comic-Con. This is to put together all the photos and information regarding 6,000 different comic book creators, ranging from artists and writers to inkers, letterers and editors.

The aim is to collect all information by means of the company’s Twitter account, and then probably it’ll all be included in the app eventually. By doing so, a huge database of comic book creators to browse through would be created. Comixology has planned to do one letter a week, and therefore by the middle of next year, they should be having a good amount of information.
