Kidoodle: Pirate Scribblebeard is an Interactive Coloring App for kids
People want their little ones to be creative geniuses, among many other things. Here’s a tool to bring all that imagination and creativity out of your kid. The Kidoodle: Pirate Scribblebeard is an interactive coloring app for Android and iOS tablets. The storyboard leads your child through several pages and gets them to scribble, paint or draw right on the story. And these creations can be animated as well.
The Pirate Scribblebeard comes with two characters, Josephine and Oscar, who give a guidance as to what to draw on each page. On the lite version, there are only three different pages to choose from. In the full version, there are a total of 14 different pages, all with a different starter outline. Once the kids are done with a page, they can send their creations to the parents through email.
The nice little interactive features in the form of animation include the pirates the kid just drew dancing, or the ship sailing on water.
That’s the good part. But the app does not offer a whole lot of colors to choose from, or tips for that matter. Also the lite version does not scale properly, leaving kids with limited space to play on. But the full version works pretty well and it is much easier for kids to use.
The app is pretty good despite the little drawbacks. You may now stop worrying about forgetting to buy crayons for your kid, and get things digital.
