BlackBerry Playbook Astronomy App Brings to You the Stars
It is a pretty good hobby to go star gazing with a glass of wine in hand. We have good news for all the stargazers out there. If you look at the stars during night and find difficulty to figure out which star you are watching, don’t worry. RIM has now brought its Blackberry Playbook Astronomy App to the App World.

Planets, a free 3D cosmos browser and visualizer, can help you to find the names of the stars. Skygazers can enjoy the celestial wonders by sitting anywhere on earth.
The app mainly concentrates on the planets. With this device, you can also map out major constellations. Like in a planetarium, you can discover the wonders of the sky. It spills out the feeling of a classic discovery.
The observance locations can be determined by entering the name of the city, a ZIP code or latitude and longitude coordinates. It is one of the greatest tools to identify anything in the sky including planets, grids and deep sky objects.
The app gives you in-depth information about the planets. You can map the stars in either 2D or 3D mode. You can also select different visibilities of the sky such as X-ray, Infrared, Microwave and Radio.
The app sports a Globe function that allows you to view a rotating 3D image of the solar system. Kick off a celestial journey to know your favorite stars and explore the unseen objects in the sky with the help of this app .
