Crunchyroll App and Neon Alley Anime Channel Coming to PS3
Here’s some good news for those who use Crunchyroll, the online provider of free on-demand anime and Korean drama. Soon you can use your PS3 to watch your favorite anime including series such as Naruto, Death Note, and Inuyasha.

This is because the company is working on an app for the PlayStation 3 which will allow users to stream Crunchyroll’s selection of anime or Korean dramas to their televisions via their gaming consoles. For a subscription of $6.95 a month, you get either all the anime or Crunchyroll’s Korean drama library, and for $11.95 a month both the libraries will be wide open for you.
Pay the subscription amount and you can access HD content on Crunchyroll’s website, and also there is early access to new episodes and an iOS/Android app.
The PS3 app will be available in summer only in the US and Canada. There is no word on its availability in other regions yet.
Also, VIZ Media is launching its non-on-demand Neon Alley anime channel this fall and it is coming to the PS3 as well. Subscription costs $6.99 and it airs shows according to a set schedule.
