Windows 8 to Get a Metro-Styled App from Box
Microsoft Windows 8 is currently one of the trending topics in the world of gizmos and softwares. There is another topic related to it and that is Box’s plans of featuring its own Windows 8 Metro-style app or so techland boasts. It will offer cloud storage and will include features that every other cloud storage app offers or maybe even more.

Jared Newman of Techland has been heard saying that that unlike Microsoft’s SkyDrive, Box’s Windows 8 app emphasizes sharing and collaboration in addition to personal storage.
The app also comes with a built-in photo viewer, but it can open files in other apps when it is appropriate like the native reader by Windows 8 for PDF files.
At this week’s CTIA Wireless show, the app that Box was working on was demonstrated in beta version. As the app is still in development, there are few bugs and glitches in a couple of places.
Once Windows 8 arrives, Box will release the final version of the app. However, there is also a possibility that for the Windows 8 Release Preview, they might release an early version of Box’s app.
The app will also help users share links through social networks and email which is a pretty good intriguing feature. If the app truly is as Box says it would be, then Microsoft’s SkyDrive will be of no use.
