There are many couples app out there which help improve the communication between two people in a relationship. TheIceBreak had also launched an app in which couples can answer icebreaker questions. It has dawned on the guys behind TheIceBreak that communicating properly with your startup co-founder is equally important. So they have come up with a new iPhone app called Cofounderly.

TheIceBreak hit upon the idea when its co-founder Christina Brodbeck learned that many start-up co-founders were actually using TheIceBreak’s couples app to communicate. Guys at TheIceBreak took the cue seriously and came up with an app that works like a couples app for co-founders.

Here’s how the app works. Instead of asking “Do you think it’s more important for a couple to be friends or lovers?” and suggesting “Do an outdoor activity together,” Cofounderly asks, “Which one is a higher priority for startups — retention or growth? Why?” and suggests “Come up with & serve a company-themed cocktail.” As of now, the app works only for two-person founding team.

Brodbeck says that Cofounderly is supposed to encourage real-world conversations, rather than replace them. Ultimately the app should lead to more in-depth, in-person conversations.

Brodbeck says that TheIceBreak is also looking at investigating partnerships with media brands, creating apps that allow them to interact with their community. It’s like a partner app, except your partner is the brand.
