You can easily get addicted to smartphone games. If you love to kill time playing games, there’s a new game you should try out. It’s called Arrow Mania and it’s compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4 and above.

Here’s how you play the game. There’s an arrow-firing orb, set in a scrolling platform universe, which you move using magnets. You shoot targets to open doors and raise or lower platforms. Trickier shots require you to bounce the arrows around corners while you avoid hitting the friendly birds flying overhead. There are also airplanes dropping parachute bombs that you can destroy in a hail of arrows.

The game has 30 levels and as you move up the levels, it gets tougher. You can set the difficulty level, meaning adults do not feel silly playing a kid’s game.

Arrow Mania is available at the app store for 99 cents. And yes it does support the retina graphics of the new iPad and the iPhone 4/4S.
