4 Billion Photos Shared in Instagram by 80 Million Users
Looks like a lot of people love Instagram and Facebook buying the top photo sharing service did not to cause any harm to that. Instagram has hit 80-million user mark, with about 4 billion images being shared on it.

‘As the community has grown, we’ve seen people sharing photos from all around the world, from South Korea to Bolivia, and even underwater,’ Instagram wrote on its blog post.
It’s just been two years since Instagram happened. When it was an iPhone-only service, Instagram had about 30 million users. After that the Android version was released which took the user base to 50 million in May. Then happened the Facebook acquisition. The company, which had only 13 employees then, is on a hiring mode now.
And Instagram is still growing in rapid pace despite the recent move by Twitter preventing Instagram users from finding Twitter friends on the service.
Before Instagram, people had apps that let them apply filters on photographs and they had apps that let them share photos, but they didn’t really have an app that did both. So Instagram was the ultimate solution.
We believe that we will see the BlackBerry or Windows Phone version of Instagram soon.
